High and Low Mountain Ring

A mountain ring carries the universal spiritual symbolism of mountains: perspective (the view from the summit, where ordinary concerns look small and the larger picture becomes clear), stability and strength (mountains are the most enduring features of the landscape — wearing one is an alignment with their quality of being unmoved by what passes), and aspiration (the mountain as the goal to be climbed, the upward orientation toward the highest version of what is possible). Across traditions — Buddhist, Hindu, Native American, Celtic, Shinto — mountains are sacred spaces where the human world meets something larger.

Mountains symbolise: the meeting point between the human and worlds (Olympus, Sinai, Kailash, Fuji — sacred peaks in Greek, Hebrew, Hindu, and Shinto tradition respectively); equanimity and stillness in the face of change (the mountain endures what passes around it without being altered); clarity and perspective (the view from the summit is always wider than the view from the valley); and strength of character — the qualities of being grounded, stable, and difficult to move from one’s own values and truth.
